Special issues devoted to important topics, especially the latest development in the relevant areas, will be published when necessary, to be edited by guest editors and/or proposed by conference organisers.
IJMMNO publishes full-length original research papers, with a section dedicated to short research notes and concise case studies using modelling, simulation and optimisation.
The objectives of IJMMNO are to establish an excellent platform for discussion and communication between applied mathematicians, mathematical and numerical modellers, computer algorithm developers, and optimisation researchers in academic and research institutions, and industry.
Springer has made the difficult decision to cease publication of the Journal of Mathematical Modelling and Algorithms in Operations Research as of December 2015.
Issue 14:4 will be the concluding issue for this journal.
The JMMA will be taking the term “Operations Research” in its widest context, welcoming papers in mathematical programming: linear, integer, fractional, nonlinear, dynamic, and multi-objective programming, heuristic and metaheuristic techniques; probabilistic approaches: Bayesian approaches and multi-criteria decision analysis, simulation and stochastic processes; datamining and machine learning; network and graph algorithms.
The journal will continue to welcome papers that describe novel modelling and/or algorithmic techniques and will particularly welcome papers that describe applications to real world problems.Because articles in scientific journals are specific, meticulously cited and peer-reviewed, journal databases are the best place to look for information on previous research on your species.Without a background in the field, journal articles may be hard to understand - however, you do not need to understand an entire article to be able to get valuable information from it.It strives to promote the development of effective algorithms, mathematical models, and optimisation techniques and their applications in real-world problems with demonstrated capability and efficiency in cross-disciplinary and industrial applications. The readership of IJMMNO is wide and diverse, including academics, researchers, industrial professionals, engineers and software developers, as well as graduates students reading for MScs and Ph Ds.No new submissions will be accepted for the journal.October 2014 -------------------------------- A Note From the Editor-in-Chief The Journal of Mathematical Modelling and Algorithms has been growing steadily over the last two years with an increased number of submissions from all over the world.Journal of Mathematical Modeling (JMM) publishes original high-quality peer-reviewed papers in all branches of computational or applied mathematics. It covers all areas of numerical analysis, numerical solutions of differential and integral equations, numerical linear algebra, optimization theory, approximation theory, control theory and fuzzy theory with applications, mathematical modeling in all major areas of applied sciences, computer simulation and parallel algorithms. This journal strives to provide a vehicle to help researchers to disseminate their research results and to learn/follow the latest development.IJMMNO publishes high-quality original papers, review papers, short research notes and case studies, conference reports and technical reports, book reviews and research news.
